This page explains who publishes istanbul-care.com, how the information on it is produced, who is named on it, and what we will and will not publish. It applies to every article, guide and treatment page on this website.

Who publishes this website

istanbul-care.com is published by Istanbul Care, a hair transplant and aesthetic treatment clinic based in Istanbul, Türkiye. We are the clinic that provides the treatments described on this website, so these pages are written by the provider, not by an independent third party. We say so plainly because it affects how you should read them.

What this website is, and what it is not

Everything we publish is general information about hair loss, hair transplantation and related treatments. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment recommendation for any individual. No page here replaces a consultation with a qualified doctor who has examined you and reviewed your medical history. Our full disclaimer is in our Terms of Use and Content Policy.

How an article is produced

Our production process has four steps, and every published page has been through all four:

1. Topic and research. We choose a topic from the questions patients actually ask us, and gather what is known about it from our clinical experience and from published external sources.
2. Drafting. Drafts are produced with the help of AI writing tools. We use them as a drafting aid, not as a source of facts, and we disclose it here rather than leaving you to guess.
3. Human editing and fact checking. No AI draft is published as it arrives. A member of our team reads it, removes anything it cannot support, checks every figure and every claim against a source, and rewrites what needs rewriting. Claims we cannot source are deleted, not softened.
4. Attribution. Each article records a named author from our clinical team, and clinical topics also record a named medical reviewer. Both are shown on the article and both have a profile page on this site.

Who is named on our articles

Every clinician who appears as an author or reviewer works at Istanbul Care and has a profile page you can read:

The wider clinical team, with each clinician's field and experience, is published on our surgeons page. We publish our clinicians under their first name and surname initial, which is how they are identified in our records and on this website.

What we will not publish

These are hard rules, not preferences:

• No invented statistics, and no number attributed to an organisation that did not publish it.
• No invented patient cases, invented quotes or invented testimonials.
• No promise or guarantee of a particular result. Hair transplantation is a medical procedure and outcomes differ between individuals.
• No before-and-after photograph presented as a typical or expected result. Each one shows an individual case at a point in time.
• No qualification, membership or accreditation claimed for a clinician unless we hold the document behind it.

Dates, updates and corrections

Articles carry the date they were published. When we revise a page in a way that changes its meaning, we update it rather than quietly replacing it, and we do not backdate. Medical information ages, so pages are revisited and refreshed. If you believe something on this website is inaccurate, out of date or misleading, please tell us — the process is set out in our Corrections Policy.

Where our facts come from

How we choose, use and link external sources is set out in our Sourcing Policy. Whether and how we would ever publish paid or sponsored material is set out in our Sponsored Content and Advertising Policy.
