Turkey's appeal lies in delivering world-class results at accessible prices, making advanced techniques available to a broader audience without sacrificing quality or safety.

What Is the Average Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey?

According to estimates, the average cost of an hair transplant cost in Turkey ranges from $1,500–$4,000 across the market. The price can vary according to the number of required grafts and prestige of the clinic, for example, a procedure with 3,000 grafts typically costs between $2,500 and $3,750. Compared with many Western countries, this price is by far a lot cheaper, which has made Turkey a destination for medical tourism.

Key Factors That Influence Hair Transplant Costs

Several factors influence the cost of FUE hair transplants: Number of Grafts: More grafts generally mean higher costs. Clinic Reputation: Well-established clinics with experienced surgeons may charge more. Location: Prices can vary between cities; larger cities like Istanbul may have higher rates than smaller towns. Technology Used: FUE hair transplant or tools can increase costs. Surgeon's Expertise: Highly skilled surgeons often command higher fees.

Understanding FUE Hair Transplant Techniques

How Pricing Compares Across Techniques

If we compare FUE with other hair transplantation procedures we can talk about DHI hair transplant (Direct Hair Implantation). It is generally the more expensive of the two because of the implanter pens involved and the time it takes. Standard FUE remains the least expensive of the three. Exact ranges for each technique are set out further down this page.

Average Prices in Major Turkish Cities

Average prices differ between Turkish cities. Istanbul runs between $2,500 and $4,000, Ankara between $2,000 and $3,500, Izmir between $1,800 and $3,200, and Antalya between $1,500 and $2,800.

Affordable Clinics in Istanbul

Istanbul has the deepest concentration of clinics in the country, which is exactly why prices there vary so widely. Our own package sits below the city range quoted above, and it is a flat fee rather than a per-graft charge. Our all-inclusive packages are $1,990, $2,290 and $2,490 — a flat price that does not change with the number of grafts. Post-Procedure Expenses

Besides the procedure price, patients should consider other expenses that may be necessary. Here we can mention medications, which are typically needed and may not be covered in the cost. Another hidden cost is the necessity of return visits and purchase of aftercare items such as certain shampoos to ensure a proper healing phase. It's important to establish with the clinic what exactly is covered by the package in order to minimize any surprise expense down the road. Scheduling a consultation, either in person or online, can provide further clarity. This allows patients to ask questions, address concerns, and build trust with Istanbul Care medical team.

We’re ready to answer your questions

A 3,000-graft hair transplant in Turkey costs between $2,500 and $4,000, depending on the clinic and the technique used. Turkey is a popular destination due to its lower hair restoration costs compared to other countries. Many clinics offer financing plans or cash payment options, letting patients pay in installments and making the procedure more affordable.

Most hair transplant packages in Turkey include comprehensive aftercare, such as follow-up appointments, medications, and post-surgery hair care instructions, so confirm these details with your chosen clinic before proceeding. Most patients stay about 4 to 7 days, which covers the surgery and necessary follow-up visits, though some may need to stay longer for additional treatments or consultations.

While hair transplants in Turkey are generally safe and affordable, extremely low-cost options may indicate subpar facilities or inexperienced surgeons, so research thoroughly and choose reputable clinics. Istanbul is the most popular city, offering a wide range of clinics with experienced surgeons, while other affordable cities with quality services include Antalya and Izmir, which may have slightly lower prices. The cost is usually around $2,500 to $3,750, depending on the clinic and the services involved.

Cheaper alternatives include FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), which is less expensive and not as popular since its recovery period is longer. FUE is generally less costly than DHI and treatments, and costs can vary considerably based on the city and reputation of the clinic, so be sure to check what's included in your package. For a full FUE procedure, 3,000 to 5,000 grafts are generally recommended, depending on personal needs and desired outcomes.

In 2026 our all-inclusive packages are fixed at $1,990, $2,290 and $2,490. Prices across Turkish clinics vary widely; rather than quote an average, the comparison table on this page lists what other clinics publish, with links and access dates. Clinics like Istanbul Care offer premium services starting at just $1,990–$2,490, ensuring patients receive high-end care with maximum grafts included.

Hair Transplant Prices by Technique in Turkey

Pricing varies based on the method's complexity, tools, and time required, with most clinics favoring fixed packages over per-graft charges for transparency. Advanced options incorporate innovations that enhance precision and recovery. Understanding these differences helps patients choose the best fit for their hair loss pattern and goals.

FUE Hair Transplant

Classic FUE, the gold standard for minimal invasiveness, typically ranges from $2,500 to $4,000 in comprehensive packages. This technique excels in large-coverage cases with scattered dot scarring that's easily concealed. Many patients opt for it due to its proven track record and versatility across hair types.

FUE Hair Transplant

FUE, utilizing sharper V-shaped blades for recipient sites, costs $2,000–$5,000 and promotes faster healing with reduced crusting. The smoother incisions allow for higher density placement in suitable candidates. It's particularly popular for balanced results combining efficiency and aesthetic refinement.

DHI Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey

DHI, employing Choi implanters for direct graft placement, is typically priced between $2,500 and $6,000 due to its precision and time-intensive nature. This method allows superior control over implantation angle and depth, making it ideal for creating natural hairlines and performing unshaven procedures. Patients aiming for maximum density often consider DHI a worthwhile investment.

Robotic Hair Transplant

Robotic-assisted FUE, which incorporates automated systems for graft extraction, generally ranges from $3,000 to $7,000 and is less widely available. It offers consistent punch accuracy and reduces human-related variability during extraction. While technologically advanced, it is best suited for selected cases where automation can meaningfully enhance overall outcomes.

FUT Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey

The traditional FUT strip method, now less favored due to linear scarring, costs $2,500–$3,000 and allows high graft yields in one session. It's suitable for patients prioritizing quantity over minimal donor visibility. Modern clinics rarely recommend it unless FUE donor supply is limited.

I highly recommend Istanbul Care clinic! My husband chose them for a hair transplant and the entire experience was very positive from start to finish. The staff is professional, attentive, and well-trained, and the communication was excellent throughout the whole process. The clinic is modern and clean, and the procedure went smoothly. We are very happy with the results and with the care provided. Thank you, Istanbul Care, for your professionalism and dedication!

In short, so far I've had a great experience and I recommend it. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the results in the coming months.

Outstanding Experience – Highly Recommended I had my hair transplant with the support of Claire, and the entire process was genuinely outstanding. From start to finish, she guided me through every step with care, clarity, and professionalism — making what could have been a stressful experience feel completely smooth and reassuring. The clinic staff were equally fantastic: friendly, attentive, and clearly experienced. I felt well looked after from the moment I walked in, and the service throughout was first-class. The results so far have exceeded my expectations, and I’m really happy with how things are progressing. If you’re considering a hair transplant, I can’t recommend this clinic enough. Great team, great care, and great results!

Better Price
Higher Quality

When it comes to hair transplant cost in Turkey, especially in Istanbul, few options offer the unbeatable combination of affordability, world-class quality, and truly personalized care like Istanbul Care. As the chart clearly shows, while countries like the USA ($8,000–$30,000), Canada ($10,000–$30,000), Australia ($7,000–$15,000), and the UK ($4,500–$10,000) come with significantly higher price tags, Turkey — and particularly Istanbul — stands out as the most cost-effective destination without compromising on excellence. At Istanbul Care, we provide premium hair transplant procedures (including advanced FUE, DHI techniques) starting from just $1,990 to $2,490 — often even lower than general averages in Turkey and dramatically more accessible than anywhere else on the list..

Cost by Graft Number

Turkish clinics price by package rather than per graft, so one fee covers the number of grafts your donor area can safely supply. Across a standard session that works out at roughly $0.70–$2.00 per graft depending on technique — but you are not billed that way. The model rewards fixed-price hair transplant packages over volume billing, which keeps the focus on graft survival rather than graft count.

Effective Cost by Technique

FUE hair transplant is the baseline method; the ranges below are what the other techniques work out to per graft once a package is divided across a full session.

TechniqueEffective per-graft rangeWhat drives the difference
FUE hair transplant$1.00–$1.70 Blades cut finer channels, so grafts sit closer together
DHI hair transplant$1.50–$2.00Choi implanter pens place grafts directly, without pre-opened channels
Robotic-assisted FUE$1.70–$2.50Automated extraction adds equipment cost; availability varies by clinic
FUT hair transplant$0.70–$1.20Strip harvest yields the most grafts per session, at the cost of a linear scar

At Istanbul Care every technique above sits inside the same flat package fee, so this table explains the market rather than pricing your case. For the wider clinical picture rather than the numbers, start with our Hair Transplant in Turkey guide.

Cost by Graft Count

Graft count does not change the package fee here, but it does change what the result can realistically cover. Each band below links to real twelve-month outcomes at that volume.

1500 Grafts: Hairline and Temple Corners

A 1,500-graft session is the smallest of the standard plans. It suits a receding hairline, thinning temple corners, or a scar that needs covering rather than a whole scalp rebuild. Because the package fee is flat, a case at this size costs the same as a larger one — what changes is how much of your donor area stays in reserve for later. See the twelve-month outcome in our 1500 grafts before and after gallery.

2500 Grafts: Hairline Plus Mid-Scalp

At 2,500 grafts the hairline is rebuilt and the mid-scalp behind it gets enough density to look continuous. This is the common plan for moderate frontal loss where the crown has not yet opened up. See the twelve-month outcome in our 2500 grafts before and after gallery.

3500 Grafts: Advanced Frontal and Crown Loss

A 3,500-graft plan reaches back over the crown while still carrying the front. It is the point at which graft distribution matters more than graft count — spread too thin and neither zone looks finished. See the twelve-month outcome in our 3500 grafts before and after gallery.

4500 Grafts: Mega Session Territory

Above 4,000 grafts the session becomes a full-day mega procedure. Extensive loss is treated in one sitting, with the hairline and mid-scalp prioritised so the result reads naturally even before the crown fills in. See the twelve-month outcome in our 4500 grafts before and after gallery.

5000 Grafts: The Single-Session Ceiling

5,000 grafts sits at the upper limit of what one session can safely harvest. Whether you are a candidate is decided by donor supply, not by ambition — the donor area has to be able to give that much without thinning visibly itself. See the twelve-month outcome in our 5000 grafts hair transplant gallery.

7000 Grafts: Why This Becomes Two Sessions

7,000 grafts is not a single procedure. It is planned as two sittings with a healing interval between them, because extracting that volume at once risks both the donor area and the survival of the grafts already placed. See the twelve-month outcome in our 7000 grafts hair transplant gallery.

Cost by Norwood Stage

The Norwood scale, not the price list, is what decides how many grafts your case needs. Where you sit on it also decides whether surgery is the right answer at all. Our Norwood scale of hair loss explains the seven stages in full.

Norwood 1: No Surgery Needed Yet

Norwood 1 is the baseline — a full, unchanged hairline. A maturing hairline in the twenties is often mistaken for it. At this stage the honest answer is that surgery is not indicated, and any clinic quoting you a price for it is worth walking away from. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 1 gallery.

Norwood 2: Early Temple Recession

The temple corners start to move back while the frontal tuft holds. Most Norwood 2 cases are handled with medical treatment first; when surgery is chosen, graft counts stay at the low end. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 2 before and after gallery.

Norwood 3: The Usual Starting Point

Norwood 3 is where most patients first book a consultation. The recession has become a shape rather than a suspicion, and the frontal third can be rebuilt without touching donor reserves too heavily. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 3 before and after gallery.

Norwood 4: Front and Crown Both in Play

By Norwood 4 the crown has opened and the band between it and the hairline is thinning. Planning becomes a decision about which zone gets priority, because both rarely finish in one pass. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 4 before and after gallery.

Norwood 5: The Bridge Starts to Fail

The strip of hair separating the front from the crown narrows. This is the stage where donor supply becomes the limiting factor rather than surgical time. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 5 before and after gallery.

Norwood 6: Front and Crown Have Merged

The bridge is gone and the bald area is continuous. A single session cannot cover it densely; realistic planning means choosing coverage over density, or accepting two stages. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 6 before and after gallery.

Norwood 7: What Surgery Can and Cannot Do

Norwood 7 leaves only a horseshoe of permanent hair. A transplant here restores a framed hairline and forward density — it does not restore the head you had at twenty, and any clinic promising that is selling something else. Compare real cases at this stage in our norwood 7 gallery.

Costs are shaped by multiple variables, allowing tailored options for diverse needs. Reputable clinics maintain transparency to build trust. Key influences ensure pricing reflects value and expertise.

  • Number of grafts: While packages often include unlimited safe extraction, mega-sessions may incur minor additional fees in some setups.

  • Technique chosen: Advanced methods with specialized instruments naturally command higher prices for superior tools and results.

  • Clinics reputation: Facilities with JCI accreditation and ISHRS-member surgeons invest in quality, reflected in pricing.

  • Add-ons like PRP or stem cell therapy: These evidence-based enhancements for growth can add $500–$2,000, supported by studies on improved outcomes.

essential oils for hair growth

A procedure of around 3,000 grafts, common for moderate androgenetic alopecia, is covered by our flat packages at $1,990–$2,490. The graft count does not change the price. This volume achieves significant coverage and density for many patients. Clinics like Istanbul Care deliver this within their $1,990–$2,490 range for excellent value.

A 3,000-graft hair transplant in Turkey typically runs between $4,000 and $7,500, which works out to roughly $1.33 to $2.50 per graft.

The per-graft price drops as the count climbs. That's because clinics bundle fixed costs — surgeon time, anesthesia, facility use — into the first thousand grafts. Extra grafts don't add as much overhead, so the per-graft cost drops.

For a typical patient needing 2,500-3,500 grafts, the total hair transplant cost in Turkey falls between $3,500 and $8,400. That covers the procedure itself but rarely flights or accommodation — those are separate costs.

Technique and surgeon reputation move the price most.

Hair Transplant Costs by Gender in Turkey

Pricing structures are generally consistent across genders at high-quality clinics, with a strong emphasis on individualized treatment planning and care rather than gender-based pricing differences.

hair grafting

For Men

Men’s hair transplant procedures, typically addressing classic male pattern hair loss, average between $2,500 and $4,500 due to larger graft requirements. Treatment packages are designed to efficiently cover extensive areas, delivering natural-looking hairline restoration and balanced density.

For Women

Women’s hair transplant procedures, often focused on diffuse thinning rather than receding hairlines, generally range from $2,000 to $5,500. These treatments frequently incorporate no-shave techniques and require delicate graft handling to preserve existing hair. The results provide subtle, natural density that enhances overall confidence.

istanbul-care-hair transplant-like

Cash Payments: Many patients choose to pay in cash (USD, EUR, GBP, or TRY) upon arrival for simplicity and potential small discounts. It's common and secure at established clinics. Always receive a detailed receipt.

Credit and Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are widely accepted, often with no extra fees. Online deposits or full payments are available via secure portals. Installment plans may be offered through partners.

How Much Can You Save with a Hair Transplant in Turkey?

Selecting Turkey for your procedure can yield significant savings compared to Western countries, thanks to lower operational costs, favorable economics, and high-volume specialized care. These substantial reductions make premium techniques accessible while delivering results comparable to those in higher-priced markets. Many patients find the travel worthwhile, often covering expenses through the price difference alone.

Our quoted price is all-inclusive — the procedure, hotel, transfers and aftercare — so it should be compared with the total cost of treatment abroad, not with a surgical fee on its own.

How to Choose the Best Hair Transplant Clinics in Turkey

Selecting a clinic requires verifying accreditations like JCI or Turkish Ministry of Health certification, along with surgeon credentials such as ISHRS membership. Review independent patient testimonials on forums and platforms, focusing on before-and-after photos from similar cases. Prioritize direct, doctor-led operations with transparent consultations and long-term follow-up support. Two checks do most of the work: confirm the named surgeon performs the incisions, and read the one-star reviews rather than the average. Our openly conflicted comparison of the best hair transplant clinic in Turkey options sets out the selection method in full — Istanbul Care was deliberately excluded from its own ranking, and the page says why.

Is a Hair Transplant in Turkey Worth the Cost?

Yes, when choosing a reputable clinic, a hair transplant in Turkey offers outstanding value with natural, lasting results backed by experienced specialists. The combination of affordability, advanced techniques, and comprehensive care often exceeds expectations, and the cost gap against Western clinics is the reason most international patients start looking here at all.

How Long Do Turkey Hair Transplants Last?

Transplanted hair is permanent, and that is a property of the follicles rather than of the country you had the work done in. Grafts are taken from the back and sides of the scalp, where follicles are genetically insensitive to DHT, the hormone that drives pattern baldness. Moved to the hairline or crown, they keep that resistance and keep growing for life. The StatPearls review of hair transplantation sets out this donor-dominance principle along with candidacy and the complications a surgeon should discuss with you.

What Happens 10 Years After a Hair Transplant?

The transplanted hair is still there. What can change is everything around it. Pattern hair loss is progressive, so the native, non-transplanted hair behind and above the graft zone may continue to thin over the following decade, and a hairline that looked dense at year one can end up isolated from the hair behind it. This is not a failure of the surgery; it is the underlying condition carrying on, and androgenetic alopecia does exactly that if left untreated.

Three things decide whether the result still looks natural at ten years, and only one of them is the operation itself.

  1. Conservative hairline design. A surgeon who places a low, aggressive hairline in a young patient is borrowing donor hair from a future that will need it.

  2. Donor management. Over-harvesting for a bigger first-session graft count leaves nothing for the second procedure most progressive cases eventually need.

  3. Medical maintenance. Treatment that slows loss in the untransplanted areas is what keeps the two zones blending. Without it, further thinning is the default.

This is also why the cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest outcome. A plan built only around today's bald patch tends to need revision work later, and revision is more expensive than getting the first plan right.

Hidden Costs to Avoid When Booking a Hair Transplant in Turkey

Steer clear of suspiciously low quotes under $1,000, which may indicate unlicensed practitioners or substandard facilities risking poor outcomes. Watch for agencies adding commissions or clinics with upcharges for essentials like medications, tests, or revisions. Always confirm package details in writing and avoid non-refundable deposits without clear terms to protect your investment.

dhi hair transplant turkey packages cost

The advertised price and the final invoice often diverge. Here is the list I wish every patient had before they shopped:

  1. Per-graft pricing creep. Clinic quotes $1.20/graft for 2,500 grafts, or $3,000. Surgeon "discovers" 3,400 grafts are needed on the day. Final bill: $4,080.

  2. PRP sold separately. Listed as $200–$400 per session, recommended at 3 sessions, conveniently not in the package.

  3. Mandatory medication packs. A $150–$300 charge on the morning of surgery for finasteride, minoxidil, and shampoo you could buy yourself.

  4. Hotel upgrade fees. The package includes a 3-star, but the clinic transfers you to a 5-star and bills the difference.

  5. Anaesthesia surcharge. Local anaesthesia should be included. If a clinic itemises it, ask why.

  6. Unfinished work charges. Some clinics quote the first session and bill separately for a touch-up they planned all along.

Our pricing is flat and printed. The number you see is the number you pay. If a clinic refuses to give you a written, total, all-inclusive quote before you fly, that's your answer right there.

Hair Transplant Turkey Cost in 2026: What You Actually Pay

Hair transplant in Turkey in 2026 typically cost ranges between $1,990 and $2,490 as an all-inclusive package, regardless of graft count. That fee usually covers the procedure, including FUE, DHI, 4–5 nights in a 4–5 star hotel, VIP airport transfers, an interpreter, PRP sessions, and aftercare kits. Bosley, the largest hair restoration chain in the United States, publishes $4,400–$12,000, with most cases falling between $6,000 and $12,000; in the UK The Private Clinic quotes roughly £6,000–£8,000 and Farjo charges a £3,000 set-up fee plus £3 per graft; German clinics list FUE from €4 per graft. Quality is not the variable — labour costs, the lira exchange rate, and surgical volume are.

By the time most patients land in Istanbul, they've already spent six months reading conflicting numbers online. One blog tells them $1,500. A Reddit thread says $7,000. A friend of a friend paid €4,200. Frankly, the confusion is fair — Turkey has more than 500 clinics offering hair restoration, and the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive is wider than most patients realise.

I've been performing hair transplant surgery in Istanbul since 2009. Over 8,000 procedures later, I can tell you exactly where the money goes, why the price is what it is, and where the dangerous bargains hide. This article gives you the real numbers — the ones our patients pay, not the marketing ones.

For a wider clinical overview, see our Hair Transplant in Turkey guide. If you only care about price, keep reading.

In Turkey, the median sits at $0.80–$1.20 per graft, though most respectable Istanbul clinics no longer price by graft at all. We charge a flat package fee. Here's what the Istanbul Care 2026 price list looks like, in the three currencies our patients ask about most:

These are flat fees up to roughly 5,000 grafts. We don't charge per graft because, honestly, the patient shouldn't pay for our planning estimate. If you need 3,200 instead of 3,000, the price doesn't move.

Every rate above is taken from the clinic's own published price page on 17.08.2026. Where a clinic publishes only a package price, the per-graft figure is that clinic's own stated equivalent, not our calculation. US clinics publish a market range rather than their own rate.

The gap is real, but it is narrower than most comparison pages claim — read the published rates in the table above rather than a headline multiplier. It is also part of why a large share of our patients travel from Western Europe and the Gulf.

Why Hair Transplant Turkey Cost Is Lower Without Lower Quality

This is the question I get asked in roughly half my consultations: "If it's cheaper, what's the catch?" Fair question. Here's the honest breakdown.

Labour costs. A skilled hair transplant technician in Istanbul earns the equivalent of $1,500–$2,500 per month. The same role in London commands £4,500+ and in Manhattan north of $7,000. Surgeon income tracks similarly.

Currency. The Turkish lira has lost significant value against the dollar, euro, and pound over the past decade. Clinic overheads — rent, equipment leases, utilities — are denominated in lira; we collect from international patients in hard currency. That arbitrage is real and persistent.

Volume. Istanbul performs more hair restoration procedures per week than any other city on earth. Equipment depreciation per case, blade cost per graft, anaesthesia consumables — they all amortise across thousands of procedures a year. A clinic in Hamburg doing 6 cases a week cannot match that unit economics.

Government incentive. Turkey actively encourages medical tourism. Health-tourism-licensed facilities receive tax advantages and streamlined visa processing for incoming patients.

It is not because we use cheaper grafts — impossible, they're your own follicles — or worse equipment. The Choi implanters and blades are imported from the same German and Korean manufacturers used in Beverly Hills clinics. It is also not because of less qualified staff. Turkish medical schools follow EU-aligned curricula, and ISHRS membership is the same standard worldwide.

The catch, when there is one, is at the bottom of the market: clinics quoting $700 with technician-only surgery, no surgeon involvement, and dirty consumables. That's a real problem. We'll get to it.

Hair Transplant Turkey Cost by Graft Count

Here's where most clinics get cute — they quote a low headline price for 1,000 grafts and then stack add-ons. Our flat-fee model means the price doesn't scale with graft count, but I'll show you what other clinics in Istanbul typically charge so you can spot the games.

A few honest notes here. Most patients do not need 5,000 grafts — that's a Norwood VI–VII case, and it usually requires two sessions anyway because the donor area can't safely yield that many in one day. If a clinic is happily quoting you 5,500 grafts in a single session, that is a red flag, not a deal. The donor zone has a finite supply, roughly 5,000–7,000 grafts over a lifetime depending on density.

If you don't know how many grafts you need, the consultation is free. Send three photos — top, front, and side, in natural light — through our free consultation form and I or my team will give you a number. We are conservative about it.

The technique you choose moves the price by a few hundred dollars. It does not move it by thousands. Anyone telling you DHI costs three times more than FUE is selling, not advising.

Manual FUE. The classic technique. We extract follicular units one by one with a 0.7–0.9 mm punch, then implant them through channels opened by blades. produces cleaner, smaller incisions than steel, with marginally faster healing. Istanbul Care price: $1,990.

DHI, Direct Hair Implantation. Uses Choi implanter pens that combine channel opening and graft placement into one motion. The advantage: the surgeon controls depth, angle, and direction with more precision, and the grafts spend less time outside the body. Better for high-density frontal hairlines and for women who don't want shaving. Istanbul Care price: $2,290.

Often grouped with regular FUE in pricing. See our deep dive on FUE.

Gold DHI Ultra. Our premium tier — gold-coated Choi tips, two PRP sessions instead of one, an extended hotel stay, exosome therapy on day three. The added cost, $200, reflects added consumables and time, not magic. Istanbul Care price: $2,490.

The technique decision should follow your case, not your wallet. A 28-year-old woman with diffuse thinning is rarely a good candidate for shaved FUE. A 45-year-old man with a Norwood IV crown rarely benefits enough from DHI to justify the upgrade. We discuss this honestly in consultation.

Every figure above is the clinic’s own published price, read from its website on 17.08.2026. We do not calculate or show a difference against our own price. For the United States, the four largest clinics we checked publish a market range only and refer patients to a consultation for an individual quote — the range shown is what they publish, not a price they commit to. Istanbul Care prices are flat and all-inclusive: the graft count does not change them.

Two things drive the spread. Surgeon and facility cost in high-income markets runs several times higher than in Türkiye. And most clinics abroad price per graft, so the final invoice moves with the graft count — an all-inclusive package fixes the number before you travel.

Payment, Financing, and Insurance

Payment methods. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and bank transfer in USD, EUR, GBP, and TRY. Cash is accepted but never required, and never gets you a discount that isn't matched by card.

Deposit. A €300 deposit secures your date. The balance is paid on the morning of the procedure, before surgery begins, in your preferred currency at the day's rate.

Financing. We partner with Klarna and a Turkish medical financing provider. Plans run 6, 12, or 24 months. A 24-month plan on a $2,290 package works out to roughly $105/month, including service fees.

Insurance. Hair restoration is considered cosmetic in nearly every jurisdiction, so private health insurance does not cover it. Two narrow exceptions: scarring from accident or burn, and post-oncology eyebrow restoration. Those occasionally qualify in Germany, the UK, and the Gulf, with documented referral. We can supply medical reports for your insurer if your case fits.

If you want the full clinical picture beyond price, our hair transplant in Turkey guide walks through clinic selection, techniques and what each package covers.

Warning Signs of Underpriced Clinics

There is a hard floor below which a hair transplant cannot be performed safely. In Istanbul that floor sits around $1,400 all-inclusive, and only at very high volume. Below that, something is being skipped. Watch for:

  • Quotes under $900. The consumables alone — blades, Choi tips, anaesthetic, sterile drapes, PRP kit — cost more than that.

  • No named surgeon. Real clinics list their surgeon, their licence number, and their ISHRS or Turkish Society of Plastic Surgery membership.

  • Photo galleries with no patient names, dates, or angles consistent with each other. Stock galleries are everywhere.

  • Pressure to confirm in 24 hours with a "today only" discount. Surgical scheduling is not a Black Friday deal.

  • Hotel-clinic packages run by an agency, not a hospital. Some operations are intermediaries that subcontract the actual surgery to whoever has a slot. You meet the surgeon for the first time on the operating table.

  • Technicians performing extraction and implantation while the surgeon is in another room. Turkish law requires surgeon presence; some clinics get creative with that requirement.

  • No JCI or Turkish Ministry of Health Health Tourism Authorization Certificate. Both are public records. Ask for the document.

The honest test: ask the clinic for their surgeon's full name and ISHRS membership number, and ask to see the operating room on a video call. A real clinic answers in under an hour. An agency stalls.

What Our Patients Actually Pay: Three Cases

Case 1 — Mark, 41, Birmingham UK, Norwood IV. Booked Organic DHI in October 2025. Package: $2,290. Flew British Airways return Birmingham–Istanbul: £210. Three meals out, taxi to old town, one souvenir: £140. Total: roughly £1,990 inclusive. Grafts placed: 3,400. Result reviewed at month 12, currently rated 4/5 by him.

Case 2 — Stefan, 36, Munich Germany, Norwood III with widow's peak reconstruction. FUE, January 2026. Package: $1,990. Lufthansa Munich–Istanbul return: €185. Extra two nights private hotel because his partner came along: €240. Grafts placed: 2,200. Total trip: roughly €2,200.

Five-day stay across two hotels, because he extended: AED 1,200. Grafts placed: 4,600 in a single megasession. Total: about $3,200 all in. He is scheduled for a touch-up of 800 grafts in late 2026, included in the original package because we plan two-stage cases that way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tijuana averages $2,500 – $6,000 (good for proximity to the US). Turkey (especially Istanbul) often provides more grafts, better packages, and higher volume experience at similar or lower prices. Istanbul-Care Clinics stands out at $1,990–$2,490—cheaper than most Tijuana options while offering superior DHI/ techniques and Istanbul's world-class medical tourism infrastructure.
We do not publish an estimate for the Canadian market, because clinics there price per graft and the final invoice depends on how many are used. What we can state is our own price: $1,990, $2,290 and $2,490 — flat and all-inclusive, covering the procedure, hotel, VIP transfers and aftercare. Ask any clinic for the total, not the per-graft rate.
In the UK, The Private Clinic quotes roughly £6,000–£8,000 and Farjo charges a £3,000 set-up fee plus £3 per graft (both accessed 13 August 2026). Our all-inclusive packages are $1,990, $2,290 and $2,490 (£1,575–£1,975), covering the procedure, hotel, transfers and aftercare, with no per-graft surcharge.
Bosley, the largest hair restoration chain in the United States, publishes $4,400–$12,000, with most cases falling between $6,000 and $12,000 (bosley.com, accessed 13 August 2026). Our all-inclusive packages are $1,990, $2,290 and $2,490 — a flat price covering the procedure, hotel, transfers and aftercare, which does not change with the graft count. Compare the totals, not the surgical fee on its own.
In 2026, quality all-inclusive packages in Istanbul usually range from $2,000 – $5,000 (for 3,000–4,000 grafts, including hotel, transfers, PRP, and meds). At Istanbul-Care Clinics, we offer the same high-standard procedures for only $1,990 – $2,490—significantly below market average while maintaining excellent results.
Most reputable packages cover the full procedure, PRP therapy, medications, 3–4 nights hotel, airport transfers, and post-op care. No major hidden fees in good clinics. At Istanbul-Care Clinics, our $1,990–$2,490 package includes everything above—making it fully transparent and hassle-free.
